“Men will come in and spend anywhere from $500 to $50,000 on jewelry in February,” says Marc Green, owner of Lux Bond & Green in West Hartford, Conn. “Very often we’ll see guys go easy over the Christmas holidays, wait to see their bonus check come in, and then go all out for Valentines Day.”
